Apple released iOS 14.5 yesterday, April 26th, and since then we have started receiving support cases indicating that Pocket Informant v4 is no longer compatible. Although we knew that this would be an inevitability since we stopped releasing updates for PI4 in 2016, these most recent changes Apple has made have finally stopped allowing the unsupported app to function. With that being said, here is what our legacy PI4 users need to know about what to do next.

Now that iOS 14.5 has been released the only option we can offer our users is to transition to Pocket Informant 5. For the past few years we have let our PI4 users know that the old application is no longer being updated and will continue to have increasing issues as more Apple updates are released. Because PI5 is our current release that we are actively updating and support, we’re able to test it against the latest iOS updates and ensure that things continue working smoothly. We understand that it may be a frustrating process transitioning from the old version, but we are hopeful that you will find PI5 as valuable to your daily organization as you have over the years with PI4. Check out the links below for some information to help this transition be as smooth as possible.

Why is the app locked?

In order to unlock the full functionality of PI5 an Informant Sync subscription is required. For more information on Informant Sync go here.
