Pro Evolution Soccer 2009 (PES 2009), known as World Soccer: Winning Eleven 2009 in Korea and Japan, is a football video game developed by Konami, belonging to the Pro Evolution Soccer series. It holds the exclusive license for the UEFA Champions League. In Japan, the Wii version is titled Winning Eleven Play Maker 2009. PES 2009 was subsequently succeeded by Pro Evolution Soccer 2010. In terms of gameplay, Pro Evolution Soccer 2009 Free Download introduces significant changes compared to its predecessors. Key additions include enhancements to the Teamvision system, adaptive tactics based on in-game situations, improved off-the-ball fluency, and AI that recognizes effective strategies by accumulating data in Master League and League modes. The game also features readjustments for ball movements, incorporating new air resistance calculations for ball trajectory. Additionally, there are new friction routines affecting ball movement based on ground conditions, calculated backspin routines that influence the deceleration of the ball, and improved ball bounce dynamics. Players can utilize these enhancements to perform skillful turns and execute maneuvers like flicking the ball up to set up a shot or lifting it over a defender's leg. PES 2009 introduces a new game mode called 'Become A Legend,' akin to 'Be a Pro' from the EA Sports FIFA Series. Initially featured in the Japanese versions as Fantasista, it was later released as a special edition for J-League Winning Eleven 2007 Club Championship. In terms of licenses, Konami secured the UEFA Champions League rights for the first time. However, Manchester United and Liverpool are the only fully licensed Premier League clubs, with the league itself integrated but unlicensed. Due to the exclusivity of some licenses held by EA Sports and the UEFA Champions League license not covering all participating clubs, not all teams in the game are licensed. Unlicensed clubs have real player names but use fictional club names, badges, and kits, which can be edited by the user. The game also features a separate league comprising 18 generic teams (Team A, Team B, etc.), fully editable as in previous versions. Notably, this feature is absent in the PS2 version, and the PSP version includes only two teams in this additional league.
