When will the app be released?
We are excited to announce the release of our newest app, Pocket Informant for Android, on Monday, October 19th.
Where can I find the app?
The app can be downloaded in the Google PlayStore. CLICK HERE to check out the app in the Google PlayStore and see the screenshots from the new app.
Can I use the app for free?
Yes, you can use the app for free. There are premium features that can be unlocked with a $24.99 year subscription.
What if I already pay for a subscription on my Mac or iPhone?
You just need to log in to your existing Informant Sync account. You will be directed to the login screen the first time you download the app. You can also go there through Settings>>Sync Accounts>>Add Informant Sync account.
How does the new app compare to the old app?

Why is it being released as a new app instead of an update to the old app?
We know that some of our loyal customers prefer to stay with what they’re familiar with. In order to give our users the choice between the old and new version, we are releasing it as a new app. However, the old app will no longer be updated.
How do I transfer my data from the old app to the new Pocket Informant for Android app?
You can both import and export a backup at Settings>>Backup.

You can do that by creating a task, tapping on the three-dot menu in the top right hand corner of the task, and select Convert to Checklist. Let me know if you have any follow up questions.
GREATLY DISAPPOINTED BY SUBSCRIPTION MODEL!!! I’m a long-time user (I think over 20 years) who has been anxiously waiting while being overlooked for Android improvements in favor of the ?more lucrative? Apple users. I’ve paid full price for a number of versions, but out of principle I cannot support the “SUBSCRIPTION” models that seek to eek out a continuous stream of money from those of us who are satisfied with our good old version for a few years. If the product is not ready for prime time then the upgrades should come for free to purchasers. I remember when the original founder would send out emails asking us for feedback on what needed to be improved next . . . just sad today :((
I appreciate you sharing. Please let me know what you think should be improved in the app next. When was the last time you paid full price? If it was recent, if you could send proof of purchase to our support I can take a look at transferring that over. We have invested a lot of resources into this update and so in order to keep the app going, this pricing model is what we needed to do. I do sincerely apologize for the impact this news had. I encourage you to check out the new one. If you sign up with a different email, you can get a free trial and see if you think it’s worth it. I hope you do!

I only need is sync with google task.
so that i had already bought Informant v4 premium,
Is there any posibility to make a pay package for Informant v5 without informant sync function ?

Hi. I’ve been using PI for a while now and am pleased with the new app so far. Are there plans to get the widget running with v5? It seems to be broken.
We’re so grateful you’re pleased with it! Right now we are working on getting a release with bug fixes out and then hopefully can get working on the widget.
